What Is Your AC & Electrical Doing?

Find your symptom below. Most faults come down to an inexpensive part — the skill is identifying the right one instead of replacing the whole appliance.

Running constantly but not cooling

Low refrigerant from a leak, heavily soiled coils restricting heat exchange, or a failing compressor. Coil condition and gas pressure are both checked.

Water dripping from the indoor unit

A blocked condensate drain backing water into the room. Treat this as urgent — it causes ceiling staining and damages plasterwork and electrics.

Outdoor unit tripping the breaker

A failing compressor, capacitor or a wiring fault. Current draw is measured rather than simply resetting the breaker.

Weak airflow from the vents

Blocked filters, a dirty evaporator coil or a failing indoor fan motor. Cleaning usually restores most of the lost capacity.

Musty smell when switched on

Microbial growth on a damp evaporator coil. High-pressure coil cleaning and drain flushing clears it properly.

How We Repair It

How We Service Your AC System

Dust is the main enemy of an air conditioner in the UAE. It builds up steadily rather than suddenly, so capacity is lost gradually until the unit can no longer keep up.

  • Gas pressure measured, not guessed. A sealed system does not consume refrigerant. If a unit needs gas repeatedly there is a leak, and the leak is what needs repairing.
  • Evaporator and condenser deep cleaned. Coils are cleaned under pressure, which is usually where most of the lost cooling capacity is recovered.
  • Drain line flushed. The condensate line is cleared so water cannot back up into the room and damage the ceiling below.
  • Electrical amperage checked. Compressor current draw is measured against specification, which shows a failing compressor before it strands you in summer.
  • Wiring and connections inspected. Loose and heat-damaged connections are found and corrected under our building maintenance licence.

My AC runs constantly but the room never gets cold. Why?
Most often low refrigerant from a leak, heavily soiled coils restricting heat exchange, or a failing compressor. A dirty coil can mimic a gas fault, so both are checked.
Water is dripping from my indoor unit. Is that urgent?
Yes. It normally means the condensate drain is blocked and water is backing up into the room. Left alone it stains ceilings and damages plasterwork and electrics.
How often should an air conditioner be serviced in the UAE?
Given the dust and the long cooling season, servicing before summer and again mid-season suits most homes. Units in dusty areas or running continuously need it more often.
Does the gas need topping up every year?
No. A sealed system does not consume refrigerant. If a unit needs gas repeatedly there is a leak, which must be found and repaired rather than recharged again.
Do you carry out general electrical work?
Yes. We hold building maintenance licence 134585, which covers electrical maintenance such as wiring faults, isolators, sockets and thermostat replacement alongside AC work.
