Problems We Fix Every Day

What Is Your Dishwasher Doing?

Find your symptom below. Most faults come down to an inexpensive part — the skill is identifying the right one instead of replacing the whole appliance.

Dishes come out dirty or gritty

Blocked spray arm jets, a clogged filter, a failing wash pump or scale from hard UAE water. We clear the full water path and descale rather than just changing a part.

Water left standing in the bottom

A blocked filter, a blocked drain hose or a failed drain pump. A small amount in the sump is normal; water covering the base is not.

Leaking onto the kitchen floor

A perished door seal, a loose hose connection or a cracked spray arm. With a built-in unit a slow leak damages the cabinet, so the source must be traced properly.

Dishes still wet at the end

A failed heating element, a faulty thermostat or an empty rinse aid dispenser. The element is tested for continuity to confirm.

Machine will not start at all

Most often the door latch or interlock — the machine will not run unless it is certain the door is shut. Also check the inlet valve and control board.

Cycle takes far longer than it used to

Scale on the heating element means water heats slowly, so the machine extends the cycle waiting for temperature. Descaling fixes it.

How We Repair It

What Happens When Your Dishwasher Fails

Integrated dishwashers are built into your kitchen, so a careless repair damages cabinets and worktops. This is how we work.

  • Phone diagnosis first. Tell us the brand and symptom. Door latches, drain pumps and heating elements are the three most common failures, and we load them before dispatch.
  • Careful removal of integrated units. Worktop and floor protected, the unit released from its housing correctly, water and power isolated — no scratched cabinets and no chipped tiles.
  • Full water-path inspection. Filter, sump, drain pump, spray arms, inlet valve and heater are all checked, because a "dirty dishes" complaint is usually three small blockages, not one big fault.
  • Descaling as standard. UAE water is hard, and scale is the biggest killer of dishwasher heaters and pumps. We descale as part of the repair so the fault does not return.
  • Refitted, levelled and leak-tested. A full cycle is run, every seal checked under pressure, then the unit refitted square in its housing with the door panel re-hung correctly.

Questions & Answers

Questions We Get Asked Every Day

About dishwasher repair across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.

Why are my dishes not coming out clean?
Usually blocked spray arm jets, a clogged filter, scale on the heating element reducing water temperature, or overloading that blocks water reaching the upper rack.
There is water in the bottom of my dishwasher. Is that normal?
A small amount in the sump is normal and keeps the seals from drying out. Water covering the base is not, and usually means a blocked filter, drain hose or failed drain pump.
My dishwasher leaks onto the floor. What causes that?
Most leaks come from a perished door seal, a split hose connection, or a cracked spray arm forcing water at the door. With a built-in unit the source must be traced properly before it damages the cabinet.
Why are the dishes wet at the end of the cycle?
Poor drying normally means a failed heating element, a faulty thermostat, or an empty rinse aid dispenser. The element is tested for continuity to confirm which.
Can you repair a built-in dishwasher without damaging the kitchen?
Yes. Built-in machines are designed to be withdrawn for service, and our technicians remove and refit them without damage to the surrounding cabinetry.
